10 Interesting Things Men/ Guys Notice When Meeting A Lady For The First Time

I'm certain most of you always wondered about the things men notice first in women and you didn't get an honest answer yet.

Well, you should know that men aren't so hard to understand because they are pretty straight-forward and you could easily find out what things men notice first in women by simply watching them very carefully every time they meet a new lady.

According to Dr. Paul Dobransky, the author of The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love, "In the first five minutes of meeting someone, it's generally physical beauty that attracts men.

This shouldn't come as surprise to ladies that men are initially attracted to women via their physical appearance, but that does not mean all men are looking for that Beyonce's super model type. Different strokes for different folks or fellas. Some men do like thick women, some like them curvy and so on. But it's the first five minutes that counts the most. That's the time you have to use your physical appearance first and then your personality to "reel him in."

Below are some characteristics that men say they tend to notice when they first encounter a woman.

1. HER EYES:

One of the most common things men notice first in women is, of course, their eyes.

It is said that the eyes are the windows to your soul, so I guess we understand why this is the first thing a man notices about a lady.

Usually, eyes tell us a lot about a person. You can find out if that person is lying to you or telling the truth, if it's a nice person or, on the contrary, someone whom you wouldn't want to have around you.

2.  A WOMAN'S ATTITUDE:

Men love a woman with confidence. Her posture, her ability to look him straight in the eye and her air of confidence are all traits men will be attracted to.

3.  A WOMAN'S SHAPE:

Relationship guru Dr. Paul Dobransky says "men look at curves and shape and he won't hide it, either". So don't be surprised to catch him glancing you up and down when you enter his space.

4.  HER SMILE:

I've read couple of surveys about the things men notice first in women and in almost all of them, a beautiful smile always have its place among the list.

Well, that’s not very surprising because, after all, who doesn’t like to look at a person with a nice smile?

A lot of research has shown that when you first meet someone, no matter where you are, a nice but genuine smile indicates interest.

Subconsciously, men are drawn to certain smiles. Some like sweet and genuine, while others like a mischievous look.

So, try to smile more often because you never know who will fall in love with your smile, it happens.

5. HER HAIR:

Apparently, another thing most men notice first in a woman is her beautiful and healthy hair.

So, maybe all those long hours spent at the hairdresser aren’t in vain after all. lols...

Research has  also shown that most men think that hair which is healthy, stylish, shiny and sleek is a sign of health and youth.

Some surveys have shown that men would like to be with someone with natural, long, flowing, soft hair that smells amazing too.

They like well kept hair that smells good. So make sure your weave is fresh! In fact, research shows that men notice your hair before they notice what you are wearing.

6.  HER LEGS:

Well, I’m sure this isn’t a surprise for anyone because i myself, i look at women's legs alot and i love it hot..

Men like long and beautiful legs and that is one of the things they first notice about a woman, but you should know that in the long term there are other qualities that matter more to them than a nice pair of legs.

A study that involved more than 200 men and women "revealed that people whose legs are 5% longer than average are considered the most attractive, regardless of their gender."

7.  HER MAKEUP:

Studies shows that men like women who wear less makeup.

Real men don't like women who wears a lot of makeup, because if she has too much on then it's not really her. A light amount of foundation that matches her skin tone is the best—when it doesn't match the rest of her skin, it looks too fake and not attractive.

Keep it light and natural looking. And wear lipstick. It doesn’t (and shouldn’t) be bright red, but he will notice moist shiny (yet natural) looking lips.

8.  THE BUTT AND BOOBS:

Yea, you knew that was coming. But be cool about it. That doesn’t mean you should wear spandex or a shirt that leaves nothing to the imagination. Do leave something to the imagination. And remember, some guys like a handful, while others go for the melons.

9.  HER BAG:

Yep. He will check out your purse. If you are lugging around a big ol’ bag, no matter if it’s Gucci or not, he will take that as a sign that you are high maintenance and that you are also materialistic (that you need a lot of things). So when it comes to bags, bigger is not better.

10.  Dress Sense

Perhaps this is quite surprising but you should know that most men do notice a woman's dress sense.

One recent study has even found that men prefer classier dressers to women who show too much of their skin.

So, apparently all your efforts of dressing nicely don't pass unnoticed after all.

A great (not necessarily expensive) sense of style tells a lot about a person, so pay a lot of attention to the way you dress because you wouldn't want to send the wrong message or bad impression.

So ladies reading this article, look your best and show that smile, whether you are going to the super market or out with your friends. You never know when you are going to encounter "the right one".

5 Things You Can Be Sure Nigerian Wives Would Always Do

5 Things You Can Be Sure Nigerian Wives Would Always Do

I must say, being married is a beautiful experience. The euphoria of having to live with a man you love does not go away for a while. For some people, it does not go away at all as every day is a new experience for them.

Couples at the initial stage of their marriages are so concerned about living right and doing everything well. They try as much as possible to be of best behavior and avoid things that would make them fight. Overtime, the level of work they put into the relationship or marriage reduces. This is because many of them suddenly get comfortable with their partners and feel there is no need to impress them anymore.

They become too relaxed and assume their partners would not go anywhere; most of the promises they made to each other at the beginning of their relationship get broken and they do not pay any attention to it. Women are guilty in this aspect; many of them stop being sassy and classy the moment they get married.

They feel they have nothing more to lose once they are married. This piece would be looking at the things Nigerian wives do after marriage. Here are some of the things Nigerian wives would always do in marriage:

1. Level Of Hygiene Reduce

We all know how conscious women are when it comes to their level of hygiene during courtship. They do not want the men to be turned off and do everything they could to be the attractive ladies who want to settle down as soon as possible.

After being married, these women start to relax and pay little or no attention to themselves. They do not shave regularly and only do so when their husbands complain about it.

This piece is not aimed at humiliating anyone, but then it would be nice for many of the Nigerian wives to step up in this aspect. Unshaven pubic hair could be a turn off for their husbands and it also harbors dirt.

2. Not Paying Attention To Their Husbands’ Rants

Many women in this part of the country do not enjoy watching football. They would rather watch African Magic channels, Telemundo or Zee world. They understand that football matters to the men and would allow them have their moment.

One thing Nigerian wives are known for when it comes to football is not paying attention. As much as the men talk to them about a team and the coach, they really cannot tell which is which.

3. Being Poky

As much as women could act indifferent and nonchalant about their husbands’ affairs, they still want to know what they have been doing on their phones. Nigerian wives would always steal a moment or two to peep at their husbands’ phones when they are not within their reach.

Curiosity they say kills the cat. Nigerian wives know they would always find something that would bother them when they check their husbands’ phones but they still do it anyway.

4. When They Insult Their Husband's Family Members

Many women in Nigeria are guilty of this. When their children do things they do not like, they blame their husband’s family instead.  Although they do this jokingly, it is a habit they can never stop.

Also, when their children ask them for things that are not within their reach, they tell them to go meet their father’s family members. In this part of the world, we understand that women make lots of sacrifices for their children.

5. Using The Children As An Excuse To Avoid Sex

Child birth could affect the libido of some women; for some other reasons, some may not be interested in having sex as much as they used to. These are logical reasons that could be stated. But many wives in Nigeria would rather use the kids as an excuse to avoid doing it with their husbands.

They either say the kids will hear them or that they are tired. Even when a marriage counselor talks to them about the need to connect sexually with their husband

Niger Delta Avengers Warns Other Emerging Groups To Desist From Kidnapping And Attacking Soldiers

The Niger Delta Avengers warned other emerging groups to desist from kidnapping and attacking soldiers

They also urged other militant groups that have antiaircraft missiles to desist from targeting any aircraft

The Avengers vowed to deal with any group that refuses and attacks the military

The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has noted that the liberation of the Niger Delta people has taken a new swing with the emergence of new groups all over the region.

The NDA warned other emerging groups to desist from kidnapping and attacking soldiers.

In a statement issued on Saturday, June 4, by its spokesperson, Brigadier General Mudoch Agbinibo, the NDA urged other groups that have antiaircraft missiles to desist from targeting any aircraft.

" Let us be careful not offend God in the process of trying to liberate our people from the shackles of the Nigerian government because we need God more than anything right now. We also need the international communities as well. Hence, we must desist from any life threatening actions that will derail our genuine struggle for our people.

“All groups are hereby discouraged from indulging in harassing oil workers and soldiers. We urge you all to help any oil workers or soldiers you see in distress.

“The military warplanes hovering round our towns and villages have not strike a soul or destroy any property, so those groups with antiaircraft missiles should dry their gunpowder,” the statement read in part.

The Avengers noted that they carried out all their actions without attacking soldiers, and vowed to deal with any group that attack the military.

“When it is time to engage the military in combat the whole world will know they started the war not the Avengers. The Niger delta avengers high command will pass the message round that it’s time to engage on gun battle when the time comes. So far, we have not engaged the Nigeria military in combat; despite the heavy presence of military on the pipelines. We still find way to carry out our actions without attacking soldiers. The Avengers will deal with any group that refuses and attacks military,” they said.

Earlier this week, the Avengers issued a serious warning to AGIP not to repair any of the blown pipelines in Bayelsa. Before then, the group, which claimed responsibility for the vandalism of oil and gas pipeline in the Niger Delta region, blew up the Ogboinbiri-Tebidaba and Clough Creek-Tebidaba pipelines in Bayelsa state.

7 Things To Avoid Inorder Not To Become Broke In Lagos (Nigeria)

The economy of the country is not smiling; everyone is living an uptight life right now. We need not remind you that things are three times their normal prices and living in a major city like Lagos is taking its toll on people.

While the idea of returning to the village would strike many as unacceptable or disgraceful, the village might actually help you save more as the cost of living there is relatively low. Apart from the stress of living in Lagos, the daily expenses could be draining.

One’s finances would no doubt suffer a major recession in this crucial period. Having to buy fuel at a high price will make one spend more on transportation whether one has a car or not. Then having to invest in food will also drain one as tomatoes have suddenly become an essential commodity in the country.

Since you cannot help spending more on these two items that are trending in the society, you may have to cut down your expenses in other areas. There are other things that you do within this bustling city that would make you go broke. As a matter of fact, Lagos is only interesting if you have money to spend.

Find below some of the things that may make you go broke in Lagos:

1. Betting On Sports

No one wants to ruin anybody’s business; but it is high time you stopped doing some things. Habits like betting would run you down before you know it; the terrible thing about it is that it is addictive. You keep hoping you would win one day and continue to invest in it.

Lagos, like every other major city in Nigeria is becoming difficult to live in. You have to let go of unproductive investments.

2. Partying And Clubbing

If you are the type that enjoys hanging out with the boys on Friday nights and emptying bottles of liqueurs, you may have to slow down a bit. The boys you hang out with may not be able to help you when you go broke before the end of the month. You basically want to impress the girls you meet at the club and end up spending more than what you earn per day.

The Saturday owanbes may also be dodged stylishly. If you must go, wear one of the fabrics you have. Buying expensive asoebi that would make them share sunlight detergent and plastics for you as souvenirs is definitely not worth it.

3. Crave For Designers

We love seeing people with class, people with finesse and standard. At this period, it would be nice for you to cut down on your expenses and stop being crazy about products made by designers.

The other products with brands that are not as popular also do well and serve the same purpose with the designers you like.

4. Insignificant Charges From Banks

Many Nigerians have the habit of hitting the bank anytime they are in need of money. Yes, that is the only place you can withdraw and collect money. You can save yourself the stress of queuing at the bank because you want to withdraw 3k.

The bank charges that you would incur at the end of the month could buy you recharge cards. These little charges as insignificant as they are would make a difference if they were paid in as interests on your account.

5. Cabbing Every Time

We understand the fact that you are classy and all; you have to go out and run your errands in cabs. You may even have cab men that you call on every time you are stranded. Remember these cabs do not run on water.

They run on a substance that is being sold for N145 per litre now. We are sure you know it. These cabs are more expensive than the regular buses; but depending on your bargaining power, you may still be able to get affordable ones. Reduce the way you take cab and save money.

6. Not Being Frugal

You would go broke in Lagos if you are not frugal. Stop giving money out anyhow; doing this would give people the impression that you have money to spare. Everyone is struggling and you should learn to save despite the things and people you are investing in.

Except your name ends with Otedola, you have to be cautious with the way you spend since you do not have many businesses registered in your name.

7. Misplaced Priorities

At this point in time, you have to make a list of the things you need in the house for that month. The era of buying things just for keeps have passed. If you do not want to get broke in Lagos, you
