COMMING SOON: Nigerian Police To Feature Nollywood Actors In New Force TV Series

The Nigerian Police announces its plan to begin television series. It is set to feature top Nollywood stars Desmond Elliot and Segun Arinze among others. It is billed to inform the public on the new police force

The Nigerian Police Force has revealed its plans to introduce a television series which would be based on its activities.

The television series which will feature prominent Nollywood actors, Desmond Elliot and Segun Arinze, amongst others was made known June 4, 2016 in Abuja on the subject.

Speaking at the gathering, the spokesperson of the Force, Mrs Olabisi Kolawole, revealed that the television series, titled “Beyond your sight”, will be effective in informing members of the public about the new police force while strengthening the bond between the masses and the Police.


Mrs Kolawole said: “Consequently, ‘Beyond your sight’ documents, serialises and disseminates landmark operational intelligence, investigative exploits and processes of prosecution by the Force.

"In so doing, the police TV series aims at bringing to the fore the concrete efforts of the Nigeria Police at preventing and unraveling crime; while educating and enlightening people."

She went on to add that the programme is aimed at informing citizens about their personal security as well as the collective responsibilities of the masses towards the national security.

"Beyond your sight" is set to be a 13-episode programme produced by renowned Nollywood producer, Lancelot Imasuen, with its premier set to take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

According to sources at Roc Nation, US rap mogul, Jay Z, is impressed by Tiwa’s catalogue and profile, and sanctioned the signing yesterday (May 24, 2016). It was put together by Roc Nation’s Briant Biggs and Shawn Pecas.

Tiwa Savage is also scheduled for a performance at the Made in America concert in September, where Rihanna is listed as the headliner. Roc Nation has offices in New York, London and Los Angeles, and is home to popular artistes such as Rihanna, Big Sean, DJ Khaled among others.

It could be recalled late last year, Tiwa Savage dropped her sophomore album R.E.D and has ever since been trying to promote it before she suffered marital crisis which led to the official breakup of her two years album to Tunji Balogun (Tee Billz).

Domestic violence has become a viral issue in the society now with many women starting to speak up on the abuse they have suffered while with their husbands and in their matrimonial homes.

Many women have lost their lives to this domestic violence while many has suffered bouts of pains and emotional trauma as a result of the constant battering and brutality they receive from their spouses.

While the men who beat their wives have been called demons and beasts as a result of their actions, it would be wise for us to carefully examine this issue and put the blames where they properly belong.

Things Married Men Need To Stop Doing

The society should stop painting the men as the bad one, while they have been called beasts, it would also do us good to consider the role of the women who made the men turn them into animals with their constant battering and beatings.

Please do not take it the wrong way, domestic violence is bad and no woman should have to go through it. It is a terrible experience that may have an everlasting impact on a woman’s mental health.

1.) THIRST FOR MATERIALISM

3.) NONCHALANT ATTITUDE

Most women who suffer domestic violence must have somehow seen the signs while they were dating their husbands. But many women prefer to live under the illusion that the men would change or they are probably madly in love with them. Love is not aggressive, it is kind. Love would not hit you hard and make you lose your mind.

Some women have been hit by their partners during courtship, yet they make up excuses for them and still walk down the aisle. A man who beats you before marriage could kill you as soon as you become his wife.

4.) INFIDELITY

It is not appropriate for anyone to cheat within the clause of marriage; the society promotes men as philanderers who cannot be checked as a result of their s*x. This could hurt a woman and also push her to explore that option too.

As women, if you must cheat, please endeavor to do things the proper way. If you are tired of that union, find your way out peacefully. But do not ever mock your husbands by flaunting your extramarital affairs in their faces. Those that tried it are six feet under the ground, and those who lived to tell their own tales are not healthy now.


5.) FAILURE TO LEAVE ABUSIVE MARRIAGE

We understand that most of the women in our society are good mothers ‘abiyamo’, we implore you to stop using your children as an excuse to put up with domestic violence and abuses in your marriage.

These children would grow up and become what God wants them to be. If you die during a fatal domestic violence, these kids’ lives continue. Women find different excuses to stay in abusive relationships. Some profess their love for the men who beat them and think they cannot do without them.

Some simply enjoy the doses of affection that come after a violent attack from their husbands. Marriage is not a do or die affair. Any union that would steal your peace and cut short your life span is not worth fighting for.

Nick and Wendy Lowe were married at the Wellington Naturist Club on Saturday in a "clothing optional" wedding, reported local newspaper The Dominion Post. About half of the 120 guests were Unclad. Both clothed and Unclad photos were taken, and though guests were asked to dress for dinner, the dancing portion of the event was clothing optional.

Nick encouraged Wendy to embrace the "naturism," or nudist, lifestyle a year ago.

"It was one of the first things he said to me: ‘I’m a naturist, how do you feel about it?’ I knew at some point I’d have to at least try it," Wendy said.

Nigerian Reggae veteran Majek Fashek no longer in close relationship with billionaire Ayiri Emami. Ayiri has been reportedly responsible for the musician’s upkeep following his time at the rehab in Abuja.

According to Ayiri, the entertainer was emphatic about returning to music despite being medically advised to take a break. Eventually Majek went ahead with pursuing music, sparking speculations of a misunderstanding between him and his patron Ayiri.

Warri-based billionaire Ayiri Emami has opened up on the reasons he parted ways with embattled Nigerian music veteran Majek Fashek. The billionaire socialite was reportedly responsible for the upkeep of the Reggae veteran from 2015 after he was found unstable in Lagos following his addiction problems. But seven months after the musician was discharged from an Abuja rehabilitation centre, it has been reported that things are no longer smooth between him and his patron Ayiri.

Punch reported that Majek went against the instructions of the billionaire which led to the current development. The billionaire said exclusively to Punch:

"Majek Fashek is not under my care. When he left the rehabilitation home in Abuja, the doctors said that he needed to relax. They said he should stay off the music scene for some time. I wanted him to stay in Warri and relax. I provided everything that he needed to be comfortable. But he insisted on going back to music almost immediately. He kept insisting and, after a while, I had to let him go and that was it"

Ayiri also stated that the entertainer was emphatic about returning to music as well as joining his label but he refused. He later travelled only to return and find out that the singer had left Warri, left everything he had planned out for him all in pursuit of a music career in Lagos.

Majek Fashek During Live Performance

This apparently led to the current issue between them.

Ayiri said: "He wanted to join my music label, but I said no. I didn’t want other people to think that I did him a favour because I wanted him to sign on to the label. Instead, I told him that I could get him a good manager that would take care of him and his career, get him a car and every other thing…I travelled and by the time I returned one evening, Majek was already in Lagos."

This sounds quite disturbing but the singer spoke to Punch in response to the situation saying he left Warri because he didn’t want to be constrained creatively.

He said about leaving Ayiri: "We are still doing business together, but it is not like it used to be. I am an American-trained musician. When I was in America, I studied music and music business. So I am not in the same level as the average Nigerian musician. I am an international musician. Emami wanted to place me on the same level as Nigerian musicians and to control my music business. So I decided to move."

The embattled singer has been known to struggle with gaining acceptance in society as well as the Nigerian entertainment industry for years as a result of these and more.

In 2015, he was put under medical supervision (at the Synapse Services Centre, an Abuja rehabilitation hospice) for several months over issues relating to drug and alcohol abuse.

He was discharged in October, 2015 after which he made an appearance at the annual Felabration concert in Lagos.

Police have released images of one of the the weirdest mugshots ever taken.

With a truly arresting fashion decision, Kevin Gibson, 58, is sporting an unkempt, bushy beard – just on the left hand side of his face.

The Florida man was arrested in Miami for allegedly possessing marijuana with the intent to sell on Tuesday.

This isn’t the first time he has been arrested. In 2011, he was caught with cocaine and arrested for intent to sell, but that time he was sporting a full beard. He is currently being held in a Miami jail on $8,000 bond.
